Winter Closing In

8 Nov

A Little Higher

I once climbed Huish and sang some Leonard Cohen song when I was drunk and about a decade younger. We’re still both here. Well, except Leonard. He doesn’t live in these parts.

This evening I went out to check out the new lowest twig. I tried her for chinups a few years back. Now she is close to two inches in diameter.

Huish will fall on my hovel yet. Maybe. It would be a good fate, if it was fast.

Meanwhile. Here is all this all this rage. Here is all this rage. I am tired of all this rage.

I know the anger. Everything all over.

I’m tired. We need sandwiches. A little help. Bathrooms. Privacy. Kindness. Slowing down.

Like that. It’s getting cold. Winter coming in.
