The Mountains are History

15 Dec

There is no way to get high enough now.

The storms and the sloughs are just commonplace.

You are the drain now.

Imagine it.

Being flooded.

Ripped apart.

Bits of yourself passing in flurries

By some vast catastrophopic change.

And all you wanted to do was be kind.

Apparently the weather is changing quickly and there are no signs of repeating storms :)

I think of the weather as funhouse mirrors these days.

Wow! I’m wondering what the backstory is here, now.

I’ve seen this sort of thing happen before. Pretty sad.

Well, the backstory of poetry lies deep in the inside of one’s mind, but this is simply a bit about the illusion of control, with a bit of framing coming from weather weirding.
