Haiku For Zendik

Haiku for Fawn

I remember you
We were acquainted, briefly
Twenty-six years back.

Gliding girl you were
Confident child everywhere
Queen of the kid pack.

I was another
Passerby through your parents’
Domain. Gone quickly.

I am old and we
Remember a lot then.
I think of your mom.

Our shared birthday
Was pretty neat, and we liked
Each other a lot.

I never really
Got to know any of you
Which I regret.

Fawn, getting old is
Not easy, as you may learn.
But when the boat comes,

Remember that there
Were those who remembered your
Deer child nature,

And did not wish harm
To you ever, only joy
And great happiness.
