I mostly only do Twitter because they appear to be the leading edge of cray cray demonstration. It’s like a kind of obligation of resistance, opening up Twitter.

But still, it’s difficult. It’s painful.

I remember when people sort of generally understood sexual biology. Now that seems quaint.

Last night, I stood in the shower watching blood mixed with water run down my legs. I take daily iron pills because if I don’t, I get horrible anemia, feel like I’m having a heart attack, the works. I could conceivably still get pregnant. (Still eagerly awaiting the day I can no longer do so.)

Last night, I was reading the post on the self admitted trans rapist over at GT. I did the Google search to find the (still public) Twitter account of the survivor. And wanted to cry.

The reason trans women feel entitled to the use of transmen’s bodies is the same reason that men do: the rapist never saw you as a man. The rapist saw you as a uterus to exploit. The answer to this is not to abandon womanhood but to fight in solidarity. (I’m seriously feeling some real love for our socialist foremothers this morning.)

I, too, have been regarded as nothing but a racialized uterus, but we are so much more, and it doesn’t require us to claim manhood in order to claim our selfhood.

The forced pregnancy crew and MRA’s have been making this argument for decades, that pregnancy isn’t a woman’s issue, it’s also a men’s issue. If men have rights around pregnancy then they can sue to prevent a woman from having a abortion or sue if she doesn’t have an abortion, or claim the woman murdered “their” child if she chooses to have an abortion and have her arrested. These people who are inserting the word “men” into women’s reproductive rights language are doing away female reproductive rights. Useful idiots for male supremacists.

Oh of course it’s a setup. Everything around transgenderism is a setup. What else can one expect from something that was invented as an aggressive corrective to homosexuality?

It’s so sad that so many people get sucked into this and don’t understand what’s being done to them. Gender hurts, it hurts women, it hurts homosexuals. And anyone outside of our inflicted boxes should be ashamed of themselves when they take advantage of gender’s cruelties.

If they were ashamed to take advantage of those boxes, then maybe they’d stop. But those boxes were put there for a reason. They’re there to tell us that we are lesser beings, that we *need* our boxes and cages and drudgery. We are defined by them – they are our destiny. How dare a person, whatever their identity, refuse to be a vessel for the sacred heir when it is demanded of us? The pressure doesn’t go away – until we fade into invisible irrelevance.

I’m in a snit right now, but want you to know your comments are so precious to me. I will remember what you said as I cook dinner, clean the bathroom and rage craft.

Fucking lunatics. The queer/pomo crowd is someday going to have to come to TERF websites to find out how babies are made.

Gods above and below, I had no idea how bad it already is. I’m moving in with a much younger lesbian. I and my stuff, from my artwork by badass women to my pressed fern from Michigan. I and my stories of old women and the way they shaped my life. She can barely process the ways I talk about women centered spaces, my comfort in them, my casual inclusion of women often not welcome in Pomo spaces: the poor, the religious, and yes, the old women who receive scant respect save when their stories are nicely papered over for the comfort and convenience of modern theory.

The only reference she had for any women’s music festival was the Transparent episode with the Nazi cutaway to make clear how awful those Michfest women were.
